Every pro rider and visitor to Steamboat likely saw (or will see) these exact same sights on their way to the overall race start in Steamboat Springs. Teams are arriving into the airport in Denver, trucks are being loaded, RVs packed, bikes placed on bike racks and family loaded into cars - a steady stream of vehicles are headed to Steamboat Springs for a bike race.
There also happens to be a rodeo, mountain bike race, a running event, and a 2-day art festival with 150 artists on display, all going on in Steamboat Springs at the same time.
It was a nice day of vacation in a town that is about to become very very busy with activity.
