Sunday at the races
Every August the Mike Neilds Memorial Bannock St Cycling Race in Denver, Colorado is a time to visit friends while watching hours of crit racing. Located a few blocks south of downtown Denver (and a couple miles from my house), the race always attracts the usual suspects (racers, family, a few friends), plus good support from the cycling community, and locals who just happen upon a bike race.
One of those locals was asking a volunteer how to maneuver around the road closures while talking on his phone. "This is wild, here comes another group of cyclists!" he told his friend on the end of the line, not realizing he was seeing the same group of men go round and round the small course. That is crit racing! Bannock St Crit is pure fun and pure Denver style relaxed race atmosphere.

This! A remote controlled aerial video camera by SkySight Aerial Imaging,
it happily buzzed over the race to the delight of riders and fans. I think these cameras are so cool. |
